This website is designed to publish metadata of stage arts performance videos supported by EPAD (Eternal Performing Arts Archive + Digital Theatre Support Project)※ in terms of rights clearance.
We have prepared various search criteria such as visual image, genre, performer, year of performance, etc., so please feel free to explore the site.

How to View the Works Page

The status of rights handling is categorized into one of the following three types and is displayed at the beginning of the page.
For works where rights clearance has been completed and distribution has already started, please refer to the "How to watch" section of the work introduction page for information on how to watch the work.

Archive Only
Permission has been granted to save as a digital archive to EPAD or the organization designated by EPAD
Available for
Streaming
Permission has been obtained to distribute the footage
Rights Processing
Rights clearance has not been completed

Conditions for Secondary Use of Published Information (Metadata)

The following items are protected by copyright and related rights, and the permission of the copyright holder is required for secondary use:

Metadata with copyright

  • Overview(Japanese page item name: 「概要」)
  • Profile(Japanese page item name:「上演団体情報」)
  • Images posted on the work introduction page
  • Images posted on the performance group introduction page

Except for the above, other items can be used freely(CC0)※.
We would appreciate it if you could clearly state the source when using the information for purposes "allowed without the permission of the copyright holder etc.,", as defined in copyright law, such as “quotation” and so on.

This applies to the metadata, and of course, the video is protected by copyright. The preparation for the utilization of video is ready, so if you wish to use the video for either commercial or non-commercial purposes, please contact EPAD.

About EPAD

EPAD, short for Eternal Performing Arts Archives and Digital Theatre, is a project initiated by the Incorporated Association EPAD in collaboration with the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the broader performing arts community. This initiative supports the archiving of performing arts and the transformation into digital theatre.
